Through 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission and AMG SPEEDSHIFT, wheels are turned for a full power coupled with accurate gear shifts. The car aside from the corner hugging suspension, it also has a characterized body styling which shouts out aggressiveness. With the dual twin chromed tailpipes and AMG sport exhaust system, who will not be impressed? 6 piston callipers which are fixed side by side with the AMG brake system which is accompanied by composite disc, you are more than ever ready to conquer the world. The tour outside the exterior is as amazing with the interior. AMG Nappa leather upholstery covers the car seat. Revolutionary AMG sport steering wheel with the shift paddle is in aluminium in silver colour. Added in the car is the AMG instrument cluster which also comes with racetimer. A navigation system tells the destination of your trip even before you go. What is cooler than that? SLK350 is another model of Mercedes- Benz which is just as awesome as the other SLK. With a smooth power, it can achieve 300 horsepower and torque of 266 pound feet. It can sprint from the maximum kilometre per hour in 5.4 seconds.

Any design of Mercedes- Benz SLK will never fail you. The top designs are made specifically for the need of those who are very meticulous. Brabus cleans up its act

Brabus Mercedes SL

Car makers are so keen to go green, even the horsepower-crazy German tuning houses are getting in on the act!

Brabus, the firm behind the likes of the 720bhp C-Class-based Bullit, has introduced a range of tuning kits for Mercedes diesels. The ECO PowerXtra module not only increases bhp and torque outputs, but reduces CO2 emissions and fuel consumption, too.

It can be fitted to any of the brand’s oil-burning CDI models, and bosses say upping torque at low engine speeds is the key. There’s even a kit for the already economical E300 BLUETEC – that makes Brabus the first tuner to meet stringent new Euro V emissions regulations, which don’t come into effect until 2011.

But don’t worry, the tuning expert hasn’t turned its back on what it does best. It has also released the first picture of its take on the facelifted Mercedes SL. The roadster has a 6.3-litre twin-turbo V12 pumping out 730bhp and 1,100Nm of torque.

The Benefits of the Mercedes Floor Mats

Accessories are definitely important components for a Mercedes-Benz. Aside from enhancing the already fine looking vehicles of this German brand, performance and style-improving auto parts are useful also because they maintain the good condition of the automobile. Among the accessories that best exemplify this character of add-on components are the Mercedes floor mats.

Manufactured with heavy-duty plastic and rubber materials, Mercedes floor mats keep unwanted dirt from getting onto the cabin carpet as well as on the floor pan surface. Ideally placed on exposed carpeted areas, these car accessories prevent solid road particles, such as sand, rocks, and soil from messing up the cabin flooring. Designed with deep channels on its dirt-repelling and moisture-resistant surface, these floor mats trap the dirt and prevent them from getting smudged. Mercedes drivers do not need to worry about the growth of molds on their carpet or about the lurid stains of spilled liquids.

When vicious dirt gets caught on the fibrous surface of the carpet flooring of one’s Mercedes-Benz, there is a need for frequent vacuuming and washing. Sometimes, the base gets rusty, and that needs to be mended through refinishing. Such scenarios only bring inconvenience to the owner and passengers as well as to the vehicle itself.

As important as maintaining the cleanliness of a luxury car’s floor is keeping the vehicle’s elegance. Available in beige, black, and grey, the colors of the stock Mercedes floor mats are rather neutral while other aftermarket units are offered in several other shades. While the choice of mat color is an aesthetic decision, it is of prime importance to ensure that the mat one is getting is custom-fitted the particular Mercedes model, complete with its three-pointed star emblem at the hood or front end.

Car accessories like the Mercedes floor mats are clearly good investments for any owner who wants to keep his luxurious floor unsoiled and, at the same time, stylish. What these durable floor mats mean to every Mercedes owner is that maintenance of an automobile’s good condition does not have to cost that much or have to require so much effort all the time.

The 2008 SLK resembles the evolved predecessor with a powerful engine lineup, strong brakes, a stiff platform and an available sport tuned suspension. The SLK is competitive with its rivals (such as the BMW Z4, the Nissan 350Z and the Porshe Boxster) because of its unusual for its class, retractable hardtop, and stylish cabin.

Mercedes CLS facelift

Merc has revised the unfaceliftable: the CLS four-door. Four years after launch, the unusual coupe/saloon gets a freshen-up and a new cheaper entry model – but it’s not coming to the UK.

Not that the CLS looks very different. The radiator grille has been tweaked and now has – count ’em – two bars instead of four. Big deal. The mirrors have gained new LED indicator repeaters, Merc has tidied up the rear apron, taillights and exhausts (now trapezoidal not oval)… and that’s about it. Thankfully, the CLS still looks drop-dead gorgeous.

Under the bonnet

More significant changes are under the bonnet of the revised model. The new entry-level model is the CLS280, a 3.0-litre V6 mustering 228bhp – enough for a 7.7sec sprint to 62mph and, more importantly, an average economy of 31mpg. Sadly, the UK isn’t taking the 280, as so many buyers pick the diesel over here. Other engines remain unchanged; all have the seven-speed auto 7G-Tronic auto transmission as standard.

The full engine line-up is:

CLS280, 228bhp 3.0 V6
CLS350 CGI, 288bhp 3.5 V6
CLS500 V8, 383bhp 5.5 V8
CLS63 AMG, 507bhp 6.3 V8
CLS320 CDI, 221bhp 3.0 V6 TD

Mercedes CLS: an inside job

The interior has a new three-spoke steering wheel and redesigned instruments with white dials, while the telematics system is upgraded with extra functionality for the modern man’s army of gadgets.

Prices haven’t been fixed yet, but we expect them to rise slightly in the UK, along with a corresponding rise in equipment. The new CLS280 starter model we’re denied costs £2500 less than the diesel on the Continent – pointing to a £41,000 starting price.
